This year we celebrate the birthdays of several important composers: John Rutter (b. 1945), Stephen Sondheim (b. 1930), and Ludwig van Beethoven (b. 1770). All have made important and distinct contributions to classical and popular music.
Join us for a varied program ranging from Beethoven’s beloved “Ode to Joy” to music from the Broadway stage with lyrics and/or music by Sondheim to music about music by Rutter and other composers. An orchestral ensemble will support the program of music that is sure to inspire and excite you.
The program will be 90 minutes without an intermission. Not recommended for children under the age of eight.
