Songs of Winter
Sunday, December 9, 2018

The Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, and Christmas will be celebrated in a variety of festive and colorful musical arrangements. Join us as we sing some of your favorite holiday music and tell stories about the inspiration behind some of the songs and traditions. Highlights of the program will be the gospel Hanukkah song “Judah and His Macabees” by Karen Hart, carols by Alfred Burt, “Glow” by Eric Whitacre (composed for Disney’s World of Color), “Shepherd’s Pipe Carol” by John Rutter, and exciting arrangements of such traditional songs as “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day,” and “O Come All Ye Faithful”. An instrumental ensemble featuring the Plazza String Quart will play as together we all sing “Silent Night”, the world’s most beloved Christmas Carol. Special guest, Grace Melody Juell, will sing “O Holy Night”. This program is sure to get you in a happy winter holiday mood.
All concerts begin at 3 p.m. and will be held at the Lake Forest Sun and Sail Club 24752 Toledo Way, Lake Forest, California.
Tickets are $15.00 and may be ordered here.
