Music from the Great American Songbook
Sunday, June 5, 2022, 3pm
The Great American Songbook does not refer to any specific songs, but rather what many call “American Standards” which are some of the most important, influential and enduring popular and jazz songs written between the 1920s and the 1950s. Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Oscar Hammerstein II, and Richard Rodgers are just some of the well-known Broadway composers and lyricists who have contributed to The Great American Songbook. Their songs remain as popular today as they were in an earlier age. This program, which includes a special salute to Cole Porter, is sure to include some of your favorite melodies.
The 90-minute program will be without intermission. CDC Guidelines will be observed regarding the need for all to be fully vaccinated and masked.
Not recommended for children under the age of 8
